Jonathan is a pioneer in the field of mind-body therapy and the founder of the Body Memory Recall or BMR approach. Since 1992, he has explored body memory and its relationship to chronic pain, stress, illness and behavior. His BMR approach of therapeutic bodywork supports the body's innate ability to recall, release and integrate suppressed stress in the body from past experiences.
In 1994, he was privileged to serve as the Chief Physical Therapist and a senior seminar instructor at the internationally recognized John F. Barnes' Myofascial Release Treatment Center in Sedona, Arizona. There, he successfully treated individuals from all over the world who suffered from conditions that failed to resolve from traditional medical treatment and therapy.
He expanded his training in mind-body therapy through the world renowned Upledger Institute in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida to include Cranial Sacral Therapy and Visceral Manipulation. When integrated with Myofascial Release, he discovered unique results treating a wide variety of conditions.
In 1997, BMR was envisioned by George Tripodi, Jonathan's father, who recognized that the fundamental affect of Jonathan's body work was the release of stored energy in the body from past experiences, thus the name Body Memory Recall. Jonathan has developed and refined his BMR approach into an innovative mind-body therapy that has supported hundreds of individuals to experience renewed states of health, vitality, function.
Currently, Jonathan provides BMR treatment at Global Healing Therapies in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He works as a team with Dr. Janine Lex - chiropractor and acupuncturist and Robert Wilson - massage therapist and personal trainer. His clientele includes infants, children, adults and seniors. As part of a holistic approach to wellness, Jonathan has found BMR to be an essential component for lasting change.
